Thanks to Vanity Fair, we have four covers for Marvel’s highly anticipated film Avengers: Infinity War. They also released a series photos from a photo shoot featuring all of the main characters that will be involved with the film.
The four different covers highlight the Marvel characters who will be teaming up in the film. One Features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) with Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth), who seems to have his eye and hammer back.
The second cover shows a beardless Captain America (Chris Evans), with Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremey Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly).
The third cover features Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Black Panther (T’Challa), the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).
The final cover shows off Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt).
You will get to see many of the other characters in the photos that were released. I’m sure a lot of these photos are previously used promo photos of these characters especially because Captain America looks nothing like how he’s going to look in Infinity War. It looks like he just stepped off the set of The Winter Soldier because that’s the version of the suit that he’s wearing and he’s not sporting the beard. The Civil War outfit had a touch of red and white. There are also a few other familiar shots of the actors in their roles. You can check them all out below.
The Russo Bros. also teased on Facebook that the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War will be released in days! Apparently, over the weekend, part of the trailer leaked out online. It has been removed, but so some of you may have got a taste of what’s in store.
I imagine not many people have been wondering what the hit video game Dark Souls would look like in the cool animated style of the game Cuphead. But, YouTube Channel 64 Bits created a short parody called “Cupsouls” which gives us just that, and it’s awesome! I would love to play Dark Souls in the style of Cuphead! It’s such a cool look and would be such a fun game, but it will never ever happen! If you’re a fan of these games, you’re gonna enjoy this!
For those of you who have been wondering when we would finally see Sesame Street parody Netflix’s Stranger Things… it’s here, and it’s awesome! The parody is called “Sharing Things” and this is the brief synopsis:
The Cookiegorgon has eaten everything in the Snackside Down and is still hungry! Will he learn how to share, or will he continue wreaking havoc on the kids in town by eating all their treats? Tune in to find out!
This parody is in all seriousness complete greatness! It’s an amazingly fun parody that is an incredible tribute to the pop culture phenomenon. If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, you’re gonna love this! It’s a cleverly made parody that lands all the jokes and nails all of the things that we love about the show. Enjoy!
Looking for that great piece of geek decor to adorn your home? Maybe you just want to give your child something that will one day make him stab you in the stomach with a lightsaber? If that’s the case, Hot Toys has the perfect replica collectible for you!
Advertised to be the same size as the helmet in the film, this charred version of Vader’s helmet is sure to cause any person not up on geek culture a sense of worry and concern this holiday season. Hot Toys hasn’t given a price on this bad boy yet, but you gotta think this one won’t be cheap.
Ya gotta love fans. Two years ago a group of DC fans started a petition to get Zack Snyder booted from the Justice League movie because they didn’t want him to direct it. Well, they kind of got their wish when he left and was replaced by Joss Whedon.
Now that the movie has been released and some fans aren’t happy with the outcome, we have another petition from fans who are now asking for a director’s cut of the film from Zack Snyder to show us what he would have given us. They feel his vision for Justice League would have been better than what we got. Over 120,000 people have signed that petition.
Even Zack Snyder himself is showing his support for it. A DC film fan shared the Justice League Director’s Cut petition on Vero, where it ended up getting a “like” from Snyder, which tells me that he’d be up for a Director’s Cut if the studio would let him do it!
Snyder’s son recently openly accused Warner Bros. of mishandling the whole process of the film and blames them for the reason the movie wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. He says:
“I did enjoy the movie, although it is clearly not what it could have been due to the meddling of Warner Brothers and the forced comedy. The run time was my biggest gripe with the movie, with events that should take a long time over in a flash: but still definitely a fun movie to watch, and would recommend it.”
I’d actually love to see a cut of Snyder’s movie, especially with all of the footage that we saw in the trailers that ended up not making the final cut of the film. I’d be curious to know the direction he would have taken things. Click here to watch a fan-made trailer that features all of the Zack Snyder footage that ended up being cut from the film.
I would really like to see the studio let Snyder cut together his version of the film, but we’ll just have to wait and see. It could happen years down the road, but I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon.
Netflix has released a promo trailer for the Jodie Foster-directed episode of Black Mirror Season 4. The episode is called “Arkangel” and it stars Rosemarie Dewitt, Brenna Harding (A Place to Call Home) and Bloodline‘s Owen Teague.
As you might expect, the episode looks intense! All we know about the story that “Arkangel” will tell so far is in this trailer. A mother’s daughter goes missing at a park briefly and she has a major panic attack like any mom would. But, this scare prompts her to take certain precautions, so she has something implanted into her child’s brain. I have no idea what this is going to do, but since this is Black Mirror, we know nothing good is going to come from it.
The tagline for the episode is, “The Key To Good Parenting is Control”, so whatever this is that’s implanted in her daughters head will give the mom more control over her daughter. Watch the trailer and tell us what how you think this story is going to play out!
Before the Avengers assembled in the MCU, the actors who played them met their horrific demise in previous horror films that they starred in. A video supercut has been put together by Films Against Humanity featuring the many different deaths of these actors.
Witness the deaths of Robert Downey Jr. in Natural Born Killers, Mark Ruffalo in Mirror Mirror 2: Raven Dance, James Spader in Wolf and The New Kid, Josh Brolin in Mimic, Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea, Scarlett Johansson in Eight Legged Freaks, Jeremy Renner in 28 Weeks Later, Chris Evans in Sunshine, and Chris Hemsworth in Cabin in the woods.
As you’ll see they all die in a variety of ways. This is also a reminder that a few of these actors starred in some really bad movies in their acting careers.
As you know, Fargo and Legion series creator Noah Hawley is currently developing a Doctor Doom movie for FOX. I’m sure there are a lot of actors out there that would be great to see play the Marvel villain, but there’s one actor that would be incredible as Victor Von Doom and that actor is Ben Mendelsohn.
Mendelsohn played the villain in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Netflix series Bloodline, he’s playing the villain in Steven Spielberg‘s Ready Player One, and he’s going to play the villain in Captain Marvel. The guy is an incredible actor and the fact that he actually wants to play Doctor Doom is awesome!
During a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Mendelsohn talked about the character and explains what makes him one of the greatest comic book characters of all time:
“[He] is the greatest comic character of all time,” Mendelsohn said. “The thing that’s really appealing about Victor is the damage and trauma, the loss of the family, the wrong done to him, then the revenge and the takeover. Then it’s the protectiveness of Latveria wrapped in that Cold War vibe. What actually makes him great is his caring bit. That’s what’s great about Doctor Doom, and I just like him!”
While they were on the subject, Noah Hawley’s Doctor Doom film project was brought up and Mendelsohn was quick to let the host know that he well aware of the project saying, “Oh yeah, I’m aware of all this.”
It’s been previously revealed that Dan Stevens (Legion) is involved with the film project in some way, but we have no idea what his role in the project is at this point. Obviously, some fans speculate that he could end up playing Doctor Doom, but I’ll be honest, I like the idea of Mendelshon playing the character more.
What do you think? Would you want to see Mendelson take on the role of Doctor Doom?
Adam West’s Batman is known for being really campy (but typically in a fun way). If you are a fan of that era of Batman, you may be interested in owning a 1985 Chevrolet Batmobile Movie Car. According to the description it is, “1 of the authentic Gotham garage Bat-mobiles produced. complete with working bat-scope bat phone flame thrower Shutes.” That’s right, if this is an accurate description you can have a car with a bat-scope! Who doesn’t want one of those? It’ll cost a 199,500 and is located near Sarasot, FL. Would you like to own this car? Which Batmobile do you want to own? I want the one from Batman: The Animated Series personally.
Over Thanksgiving, while many of us were gathering with our families, we were also given a little treat. Anthony Francisco posted on Instagram showing concept art for much more colorful versions of Loki’s costume for Thor: Ragnarok. Personally, I really like the color schemes going on. Most of them are different from his black, green, and gold and I welcome the change. According to Francisco, he was asked to, “go as bold and colorful as we could.” I believe he accomplished it without going ridiculous and my favorite is the blue and orange one. Which costume do you prefer?
