Gal Gadot in Talks to Join Bradley Cooper in The Ocean Adventure Thriller DEEPER

Gal Gadot is in talks to join Bradley Cooper in a cool sounding ocean exploration adventure thriller called Deeper. The film was written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and it's set to be directed by Kornel Mundruczo (White God). Here's the story description:

A disgraced astronaut embarks on a mission to reach the bottom of a newly discovered oceanic trench, theorized to be the lowest point on Earth. He encounters an increasing level of danger and soon finds himself in a psychological (and physical) fight against mysterious forces.

There's no word on who Gadot would play if cast, but there's no doubt that it will be the lead female role. We just don't know how she will fit into the story.

I'm intrigued by the concept for the film. It sounds like it will be an intense story and I'm curious to see what these "mysterious forces" are. This seems like a fun project for Gadot to be a part of so I hope she is able to work out a deal with them and join the film.

David Goyer (Man of Steel) is also a producer on the project. Other than this project, Gadot is also set to reprise her role of Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 2.

This INDEPENDENCE DAY: A STAR WARS STORY Fan-Made Mashup Video is Pretty Great

"Oh no! You did not shoot that green shit at me!"

This fan-made mashup video Independence Day: A Star Wars Story does a great job of editing together a scene in which we see Will Smith's Captain Steven Hiller and Jeff Goldblum's David Levinson being pursued by Darth Vader and a couple other TIE Fighter goons as they embark on a mission to destroy the Death Star. This is one of the best movie mashups that I've seen in a long time and I'm sure you'll all enjoy it!

Netflix has released a new trailer and four new posters for their fantastic looking new film The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected). The film comes from writer and director Noah Baumbach and it stars Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Adam Driver, Judd Hirsch, Elizabeth Marvel, Grace Van Patten and Emma Thompson.

The film is the "emotional and comic intergenerational tale of adult siblings (Sandler, Stiller, Marvel) contending with the long shadow their strong-willed father (Hoffman) has cast over their lives."

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) looks a wonderful and comical movie that I would enjoy. I've also enjoyed many of Baumbach's previous films which include Kicking and Screaming, The Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding, Greenberg, While We’re Young and Mistress America

The movie will be released on Netflix on October 13th.

Matthew Vaughn Wanted The X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequel To Revolve Around a Young Wolverine

Before Matthew Vaughn jumped out of the X-Men franchise to make Kingsmen: The Secret Service, he was developing a sequel to X-Men: First Class. This sequel would not have been Days of Future Past. The sequel Vaughn wanted to direct would have revolved around a younger version of Wolverine and that film would have led into Days of Future Past. During a recent interview with Uproxx, the director explained:

“I didn’t want to do Days of Future Past next. I felt that one should be in a trilogy and Days of Future Past should be the finale of that story. I would have done a film in-between where you meet the young Wolverine and a new character, and then in Days of Future Past became the young Wolverine and the old Wolverine and just really blow it out….So that’s what I would have done, but the studio didn’t agree with me on that. And, to be frank, as I said, it’s not my sandbox so I couldn’t do anything about it.”

That would've certainly been interesting! It's so hard to imagine a younger actor in the role of Wolverine. The film would've taken place in the 1970s and I wonder who Vaughn would have cast in the role. I also wonder how young he would have gone with the character. Late 20s early 30s maybe? Who would you have cast?

Hugh Jackman brought an end to the character of Logan in the best way possible, but one day Fox will reboot the character. We have no idea when, but when asked by Variety if a reboot was possible, 20th Century Fox Chairman and CEO Stacey Snider told them "Anything’s possible."

Would you have liked to see Vaughn's vision of a young Wolverine for the X-Men: First Class sequel? Or are you happy with what Singer ended up giving us?

First Look Promo Spot For THE EXORCIST Season 2 – “Evil Has A New Home”

A new promo spot has been released for The Exorcist Season 2. It's called "Evil Has a New Home", and it offers us a first look sneak peek at what's in store for the second season. Not only does it give us some footage from the upcoming season but it also features cast members Jeremy Slater, Ben Daniels, Alfonso Herrera and John Cho talking about what to expect from the story. Cho, who is best known for his work on the Star Trek films, is a new addition to the cast.

I really liked the first season of The Exorcist. It turned out a lot better than what I was expecting and it ended up having some great twists and turns. I can't wait to see how Season 2 plays out. Judgin by what I'm seeing and hearing in this promo, it looks like it's gonna be good!

In The Exorcist Season 2, Father Ortega (Herrera) and Marcus Keane (Daniels) have left Chicago and are looking for cases. They find a former child psychologist named Andrew Kim (Cho) who runs a group home for at-risk foster children on an island off the coast of Seattle. One of those children becomes possessed, of course, and the priests have to deal with the fallout.

The Exorcist Season 2 is set to premiere on Friday, September 29th on FOX.

Stephen King’s IT Will Become The Highest Grossing Horror Movie of All Time!

stephen-kings-it-will-become-the-highest-grossing-horror-movie-of-all-time-social.jpg

I'm so bloody happy to announce that the latest big screen adaptation of Stephen King's IT will become the highest grossing horror film of all time, from a pure horror genre standpoint. The movie that it had to beat was the 1973 film The Exorcist which made over $232.9 million since it was first released.

IT is expected to beat the record tomorrow and by Sunday they say it will have made around $270 million. If any film deserves to hold the title of the highest grossing horror film, it's IT. It was just such a fantastically well-made film that the majority of people have just loved. I've already seen it four times in theaters! I have to keep dragging people to see it!

Deadline explains that the studio "is calling the record from a pure genre standpoint, with all other pics such as The Sixth Sense ($293M), Jaws ($260M), and Will Smith’s sci-fi zombie pic I Am Legend ($256.4M) considered horror hybrids."

High fives to the cast and crew of IT, who brought us such an amazingly fun and terrifying film! I can't wait for Chapter 2!

Check Out The NSFW Gameplay Trailer For WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS

wolfenstein2.jpg

After launching the debut trailer at E3 that showed players the main focus of the game: killing tons of Nazis, and enjoying every minute of it, Bethesda Studios released a second teaser for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

Now, a new trailer was released showcasing some of the gameplay for the upcoming Wolfenstein 2.  The teaser shows a lot of what fans can expect from the next installment in the Wolfenstein series, be warned however, it is not safe for work.

There were some uncomfortable scenes that was showed in the trailer that will definitely be inappropriate to watch at work. There’s tons of violence of course, some funny yet disturbing moments, oh and a sex scene.

Take a look at the game’s synopsis below:

The Nazis have taken over America. They’ve turned Manhattan into a wasteland. They’ve walled off New Orleans and are systematically purging the city, burning people and homes to the ground. And they brazenly walk the streets of small-town USA — going where they want, taking what they want and behaving however they please. But this is not BJ Blazkowicz’s America. The United States will never be broken – especially with BJ on the job, rallying the Resistance and igniting a revolution.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 27. It is also coming for the Nintendo Switch sometime next year. Check out the new gameplay trailer below:

The NEW MUTANTS Film is Described as a “Haunted-House Movie With a Bunch of Hormonal Teenagers”

Some new information has come to light regarding the upcoming feature film adaptation of New Mutants. When developing this movie, one thing that director Josh Boone and his creative team wanted to do is give fans a comic book movie that is unlike anything that we've seen before.

We know that the film will differentiate itself by being a horror movie and this is the plot summary that was previously released:

"Held in a secret facility against their will, five new mutants have to battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past. They aren’t out to save the world — they’re just trying to save themselves."

Now, 20th Century Fox CEO Stacey Snider has offered some new information about the movie, which recently wrapped shooting, and what it will be like. She tells Variety:

"If we’re going to make a superhero movie, we have to ask ourselves: 'What’s our version? What’s a Fox Marvel film?'. When you look at films like Deadpool or Logan or the upcoming New Mutants, you’ll see they have their own personality."

She goes on to describe the film as a haunted house movie with a bunch of hormonal teenagers:

"Great effort has been put into making sure they’re differentiated. New Mutants is about these teenagers who are just coming into their powers. It’s like watching mutants go through adolescence and they have no impulse control, so they’re dangerous. The only solution is to put them in a Breakfast Club detention/Cuckoo’s Nest institutional setting. It protects the people on the outside, but it’s strange and combustible inside. The genre is like a haunted-house movie with a bunch of hormonal teenagers. We haven’t seen it as a superhero movie whose genre is more like The Shining than 'we’re teenagers let’s save the world.'"

I really like this direction that they are taking the film. A superhero movie that has more in common with The Shining than superheroes is very appealing to me because I love horror movies! It's going to be fun to see these two different genres come together.

To give you more of an idea of what to expect from the movie, it's said to be loosely based on the New Mutants comic book arc "The Demon Bear Saga." That story focuses on the New Mutants as they come under attack by a sinister psychic entity that feeds on their negative emotions and they have to stop it before it infects the world.

The film stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) as Magik, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Blu Hunt as Dani Moonstar, and Henry Zaga as Sunspot.

What do you think about the direction that they are taking the story for this movie?

New Mutants will be released in theaters on April 13th, 2018.

Sebastian Stan Confirmed He’ll Be Back as Buck Barnes In AVENGERS 4

sebastian-stan-has-confirmed-hes-in-avengers-4-social.jpg

Slowly but surely, more actors are revealing they're on the hook for Avengers 4 (the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War) and those that have been keeping track can mark Sebastian Stan down on the list. A recent interview (via CBM) has revealed Stan will be in the new film, with the actor saying the following about his appearance:

"I still haven’t read a script for this next one. For this fourth one. All I know is I’m going down there in October, and that’s all I know. I still actually haven’t read a script for the last one. [laughs] All I knew was what I was involved in, and I was kept on a very ‘need to know’ basis. Maybe that’s the norm. But it’s a family system. There’s a trust, and there’s a sense of knowledge between the writers and the directors, with Kevin [Feige]… that shows up."

Many have speculated that Stan will be taking up the mantle of Captain America after Steve Rodgers dies in the first film, but that's based mainly on speculation from the comics and has nothing to do with what is known in regards to the film. Personally, I don't see it happening as I don't think Stan is as strong of an actor as Chris Evans in the role. What are your thoughts?
