Uma Thurman Posts Somewhat-Cryptic Message To Harvey Weinstein On Thanksgiving

Uma Thurman, who made headlines recently with her intense response to the widespread allegations of sexual misconduct in Hollywood, it at it again. This time, Thurman took to Instagram and sent a somewhat cryptic message to ousted movie producer Harvey Weinstein paired with a picture of “The Bride” from Kill Bill

H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G I am grateful today, to be alive, for all those I love, and for all those who have the courage to stand up for others. I said I was angry recently, and I have a few reasons, #metoo, in case you couldn’t tell by the look on my face. I feel it’s important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators – I’m glad it’s going slowly – you don’t deserve a bullet) -stay tuned Uma Thurman

It’s intense yes, but surely Thurman has some real emotion about this situation and perhaps a story to share regarding these ongoing reports of sexual misconduct in Hollywood. Thanks to Deadline for the heads up.

Video Breaks Down Every Shown JUSTICE LEAGUE Scene That Was Cut From The Film

By now, everyone is well aware that Justice League underwent some major changes when Zack Snyder stepped away from the franchise. Now, CinemaBlend is giving us a look at just how much footage we were shown that didn’t make the final film. Mind you, this is just the stuff we were shown, as it’s possible there was much more footage beyond this that we don’t know about. i don’t know about you guys, but this amount of cut footage almost gives me the same vibes as when Suicide Squad teased the Joker and he was in all of four minutes of the film. Obviously, this is different situation, but not a good look for DC to continue to show trailers that feature a lot of footage in trailers that aren’t tied to their final products.

There Will Be 7 Marvel Films Released Before DC’s Next Film

There’s a saying that goes “quality over quantity,” although it’s tough to say how that applies to the news I’m about to tell you. As ScreenRant reports, before Aquaman releases in December of 2018, there will be seven Marvel films that release between them. For those curious, they are:

  • Deadpool 2
  • Black Panther
  • The New Mutants
  • Ant-Man 2
  • Avengers: Infinity War
  • X-Men: Dark Phoenix
  • Venom

What’s the point? Well, beyond the fact that, thanks to Marvel, we have yet another loaded year of Superhero titles to look forward to, DC is only going to keep struggling to keep up with their competitor. Considering Justice League was supposed to be their tentpole for launching off a ton of other franchises, this is some poor planning on their part. What’s worse is that even IF Justice League was kicking ass at the box-office right now, DC still planned to capitalize on that success over a year later with a second film.

As much as I love to give DC the benefit of the doubt, they’re far removed from the days where the Dark Knight trilogy reigned supreme at the box office. If they continue on the path they’re on now, it looks as though it’ll be a long time before their cinematic universe is ever that good again.

MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 Renewed For a New Season at Netflix!

For those of you who are fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Netflix, you’ll be happy to hear that it has been renewed for a new season! I absolutely love this show I couldn’t be more excited that we will be getting a new season!

The big announcement was revealed at the conclusion of the annual Thanksgiving marathon of the show that runs on YouTube. This will be the second season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the streaming network, but it will be the twelfth season of the show overall.

I imagine the original team will all be back. That cast includes Jonah Ray, Hampton Yount, and Baron Vaughn back in the theater as they take part in Kinga Forrester’s (Felicia Day) and Son of TV’s Frank’s (Patton Oswalt) evil experiments of watching hilariously bad B movies. Obviously, series creator Joel Hodgson will be back as well leading the charge on the show.

I can’t wait to see what wonderfully terrible movies they show off next season!

Chewbacca Hits a Porg in New TV Spot For STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI

We’ve got a new TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi to for you to watch! And, if you want to see Chewbacca punch a porg out of the way, today is your lucky day because that’s exactly what you get to see in this new TV spot! It’s so good to see that Chewbacca is just as annoyed with these little porg creatures as some of the fans are. Hopefully, this isn’t the only scene that involves some porg violence in the film! New Spoiler Details on Jean Grey’s Dark Descent in X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX

Some new information has surfaced regarding director Simon Kinberg‘s X-Men: Dark Phoenix. These new details tease just how powerful Jean Grey will be and how far she is willing to go as she descends into the darkness.

The Dark Phoenix Saga is one of my favorite X-Men comic book story arcs. It centers on Jean Grey, who becomes possessed by a fiery cosmic bird that makes her one of the most powerful beings in the universe. This is an intense change for her, and she struggles to control that power, and that leads her down the path of evil, eventually becoming the Dark Phoenix. I’m sure some things will be changed up for the upcoming film.

I will warn you, this new information contains some pretty major spoilers.

We know that Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, James McAvoy’s Charles, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique and Nicholas Hoult’s Hank McCoy are all set to return for X-Men: Dark Pheonix. These are all the characters introduced in X-Men: First Class, and according to The Hashtag Show, one of them will not be coming out of this movie alive. The report says:

We are told that Kinberg is holding nothing back and that in a moment when Jean’s powers are on full display, they will become too much for the hero to handle. At that point, with her powers out of control, Jean will IMPALE one of the characters mentioned above, unequivocally killing that character.

They won’t reveal who the character is, but I would guess that it’s Mystique because Jennifer Lawrence is one of the biggest and busiest cast members in the X-Men franchise, so this would free her from the franchise. As for Xavier, they already killed off Patrick Stewart’s version of the character, I doubt they will kill McAvoy’s version off. It would be stupid to kill off Magneto and killing off Beast doesn’t really carry a lot of emotional weight. So my money is on Mystique.

The movie also stars Alexandra Shipp, Evan Peters, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Kodi Smit-McPhee who will all reprise their roles from X-Men: Apocalypse. The movie will also star Jessica Chastain as the main villain, Shi’ar Empress Lilandra.

Who of the original characters introduced in First Class do you think will bite the dust?

See How Much Work Went Into Creating STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI’s Crystal Fox

For anyone who ever wondered why it takes so long for films to get made, this is your answer. The “crystal fox” has been showcased in all of 10 seconds of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and yet, look how much work goes into creating this crazy creature! Honestly, I’m a little disappointed the final version doesn’t look as good as the animatronic puppet, but I guess the CGI version doesn’t really look atll athat bad all things considered.

Black Canary Was Almost in BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES

Black Canary was cool. Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) is the definitive Batman in my book. Put the two together and you’ve got amazing potential. Paul Dini, one of the writers for BTAS, talked about this with CBR recently mentioning that the reason Black Canary wasn’t introduced was to feature Robin in more episodes. Dini states:

Yeah, the Black Canary/Catwoman episode was a casualty. They [FOX] wanted more Robin in the series, and each time we wanted to drop him from a story, we had to fight for it. Not that we had anything against Robin, we just wanted to stretch now and then and do solo Batman stories or episodes that focused mainly on Gordon or the villains. After the experimentation of the first season, the network felt we might be leaving the boys behind, so we got the edict, add more Robin. Other than that, there was a Poison Ivy seducing Swamp Thing story I toyed around with, but the rights to Swampy weren’t available then. I did a sort of version of it years later as an episode of Justice League Action.

Don’t get me wrong, Robin was a good character. However, can you imagine what that Black Canary/Catwoman episode could’ve been? What about that Swamp Thing/Poison Ivy story? There are times I wish the networks weren’t as involved as they can be. Thankfully Black Canary was introduced to many kids and teenagers through Justice League Unlimited and even found a spot on the popular video game Injustice 2. Do you wish they could’ve explored more options like Black Canary or Gordon? What character do you think should’ve been introduced in BTAS?

Batman Does His Own Version of a Simon & Garfunkel Classic

Batman has been becoming more musical in the last few years with his hit “Untitled Self Portrait” from The Lego Movie really hitting things off. Then there was “Who’s the (Bat)Man” from The Lego Batman Movie. Plus, there’s this gem from Justice League Unlimited. Who would’ve guessed this brooding superhero would be so musical? Well, the team at How It Should Have Ended decided Batman had at least one more song to sing, so they wrote “The Sound of Violence” which is a parody of the Simon & Garfunkel classic, “The Sound of Silence.” This is one of the greatest versions of this song that I’ve heard. It is so freaking funny. Share it with your friends and family for a good laugh.
