LEATHERFACE Gets a New Poster and Intense Clip Featuring Stephen Dorff as a Vengeful Lawman

leatherface-gets-a-new-poster-and-intense-clip-featuring-stephen-dorff-as-a-vengeful-lawman1

I really hope that this upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel film Leatherface ends up being a good movie. I'm such a big fan of the franchise and it'd be great to see a decent new chapter that fans will enjoy.

Today we've got a new poster to share with you featuring a young Leatherface dragging his iconic chainsaw along a long direct road toward his house of horrors. I've also included an intense new clip featuring Stephen Dorff as a vengeful sheriff who has the young boy who will become Leatherface in the back of his police car, and he's not giving him back to his mom.

"In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface."

Leatherface was directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo. It will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting October 20th.

Matthew Broderick is Set to Play Adult Ralphie in Fox’s A CHRISTMAS STORY Live Musical

These live televised musicals that NBC started have become the new craze. Now Fox is jumping in on the action and doing a live musical version of the classic 1983 film A Christmas Story, which is my favorite Christmas movie ever.

It was recently announced that Matthew Broderick is set to star in the live televised event as the adult version of Ralphie, who is the narrator of the story. I've gotta say... that's pretty perfect casting in my opinion. He's such a Ralpie-like kinda guy!

The narration in the original film was done by Jean Shepherd, who created A Christmas Story in 1966 with a short story that he wrote. The story revolves around a nine-year-old boy, who is hoping and wishing for the perfect Christmas gift... "a Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time."

This musical rendition of A Christmas Story had a short Broadway run back in 2013 and the music comes from composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who recently worked on La La Land. They also wrote some new songs for the TV telecast.

A Christmas Story Live! is set to air December 17th and it will be a three-hour telecast.

Guy Knocks Out Mike Tyson In PUNCH OUT In Under Two And A Half Minutes

Just getting to Mike Tyson in Punch-Out for NES is an incredible feat, let alone beating him! This speedrunner shows us how it's done in not only defeating one of boxing's legends, but manages to do it in under 2:30 which is truly an impressive feat! Believe it or not, this is only 10th on the leaderboard for World Record times, and the fastest Tyson knockout clocks in at 2:05! Hopefully, this guy makes it there sooner or later because I love his reaction to getting on the board!

Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks TERMINATOR 6 and Reveals Some New Information

arnold_schwarzenegger_terminator_genisys-1920x1080.jpg

Arnold Schwarzenegger is opening up to fans about the upcoming Terminator 6 film, and we're learning some new tidbits about it. While visiting fans at a hotel in Birmingham, England for a fan event called:  An Experience With Arnold Schwarzenegger he told TheTerminatorFans.com that "Linda Hamilton is currently training."

That confirms what we learned already this week, that Hamilton will appear in the new Terminator film, it also means that she has already started training for the production. Arnold also revealed that "Terminator 6 will not be called Terminator 6, it will have another name."

I think that is obvious, and kind of a relief. What a lame title anyway. But it will be a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day and that it "It’s going to ignore Genisys."

He also said that "Robert Patrick will not be involved." This makes sense because the T-1000 was killed off in T2 and although it would be cool to see him again, I think a new villain is a much better idea at this point.

Schwarzenegger went on to tell the fans that the movie will definitely start filming in March and in "around 14 days" the script will be finished. He says the story has been crafted by Cameron himself.

Schwarzenegger ended his session telling fans that Triplets should be his next movie after Terminator 6.

These are all kind of fun nuggets of information, let's just hope all the pieces fall in the right place and we get a Terminator movie that we have all been waiting for.

Neil Gaiman Will Voice Snowball II in THE SIMPSONS Treehouse of Horror XXVIII CORALINE Segment

Neil Gaiman took Twitter to reveal that he will be voicing a character in The Simpsons that has never spoken before in the upcoming Halloween special "Treehouse of Horror XXVIII". It was also revealed that the segment will be a Coraline parody, which the author wrote, which is pretty rad.

After he asked fans to guess which character he’d be voicing it was revealed that he would be playing the Simpsons family cat Snowball II. Gaiman then posted an image from the segment featuring Lisa and Snowball II crawling through the dark path that leads to the eerie world of the button-eyed Other Mother and Other Father.

I always enjoy watching the Treehouse of Horror Halloween specials and it's looking like this one is shaping up to be a good one. It will also include The Exorcist director William Friedkin. Here are the details on the segment he'll be involved with:

Friedkin will play Dr. Kenneth Humphries in a chapter titled “MMM… Homer,” which finds Homer cannibalizing himself after he runs out of food while Marge and the kids are away from home. We can’t say for sure how Dr. Humphries will factor into Homer’s predicament, but we hope he’ll offer some much-needed medical advice — perhaps something along the lines of, “Stop eating yourself!”

"Treehouse of Horror XXVIII" will air Sunday, October 22nd. Are you excited about Gaiman's involvement?

Animals Get Crazy and Throw a Wild Party in First Trailer For PETER RABBIT

animals-get-crazy-and-throw-a-wild-party-in-first-trailer-for-peter-rabbit-social.jpg

The first trailer has been released for Sony Picture's animated film Peter Rabbit, and I'm sure it would make Peter Rabbit author, Beatrix Potter, roll over in her grave if she saw what they've done. Regardless, it looks like the movie will be fun for the kids and probably never make them want to read the book because the book will probably be too boring for them compared to this.

The movie stars James Corden as Peter, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley in the roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail. Domhnall Gleeson also stars in the film as Mr. McGregor, who you get to see scream like a little girl in the trailer. Here's the synopsis:

Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter's feud with Mr. McGregor (Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).

Peter Rabbit comes out on February 9th, 2018 and I won't be rushing out to see it.

John Cusack is a Pissed Off Sniper in the Trailer For His New Thriller BLOOD MONEY

John Cusack stars in a new action thriller called Blood Money and today we have the first trailer for you to watch. Cusack plays a sniper in the film who gets bent out of shape when three friends camping in the woods find a shit ton of money that he stole. As greed starts to infect everyone, things start to fall apart and Cusack will do what he needs to to get his money back. Here's the official synopsis:

Three friends (Ellar Coltrane, Willa Fitzgerald, Jacob Artist) on a wilderness excursion must outrun a white collar criminal hell-bent on retrieving his cash, but soon their greed turns them against each other.

This actually doesn't look like a bad movie. It's been awhile since I've seen Cusack make something decent, so I wasn't sure what to expect. While it may not be anything awesomely exciting, it still looks like it could be entertaining.

Blood Money was directed by Lucky McKee (All Cheerleaders DieThe WomanRedThe Woods, and May). It will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting October 13th.

Amusing Trailer For the Zombie Christmas Musical Film ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE

Is the world ready for a zombie Christmas musical!? We'll find out! The first trailer has just been released for a new horror comedy called Anna and the Apocalypse.

Do you remember the guy who made all those "Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal" videos? His name was Ryan McHenry and the film is based on his BAFTA-nominated short film, Zombie Musical. He tragically passed away of cancer before the movie could enter production, but it did end up getting made, and it looks like it will be a wild and fun flick. Here's the synopsis:

Teenage Anna’s life is typical enough. Chafing against the narrow horizons of her small town, she dreams of bigger things. It’s not so much that she doesn’t love her friends and family — she does — it’s just that they’re all so… familiar. So typical. So predictable. Her childhood best friend aches for a romance that she has no interest in, no matter how close they might be. The school jock that she had a fling with is proving to be disappointingly predictable in his behavior. And it’s becoming progressively harder for Anna to conceal her disappointment with just how satisfied her widower-father is with the blue collar simplicity of his never-changing existence. And then it all goes to shit.

The night of the high school Christmas concert marks the arrival of the undead in Anna’s small town. And so begins a struggle to band together and survive. Future dreams are forced aside by the overwhelming need to survive the present in this winning Scottish musical-horror-comedy.

McHenry is credited as a co-writer alongside Alan McDonaldJohn McPhail stepped in to direct the feature following McHenry’s death, and it looks like he did a solid job. I'm pretty excited to see this. Watch ther trailer below and tell us what you think!

Rian Johnson Has Finished STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI!

star-wars-episode-8-rian-johnson.png

You know that feeling when you were a kid, the night before Christmas, when you could see all the presents sitting under the tree waiting for you to tear into them? THAT is how most Star Wars fans are about to feel now, because writer/director Rian Johnson just tweeted that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is finished! Now that we know the movie is done, and is just sitting there, waiting for millions of eyeballs to watch it, the anticipation is just multiplying. The only difference between this and Christmas Eve is that we have to wait MONTHS and not hours before we get to open our gift.

Johnson was asked by twitter user @IndianaJedi (I know, could be a better username) is he was "all done, or just [had] VFX/sound?" To which Johnson simply replied:

"Allllll done!"

Who knew two simple words could get so many Star Wars fans so excited! At least, I know I can't be the only one.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15!
