The Main Villain of the SHAZAM! Movie Seems to Have Been Revealed

Several audition tapes accidentally surfaced online featuring actors reading for the roles of certain characters in Warner Bros. upcoming Shazam! movie. I saw one of these audition tapes before they were eventually blocked by the studio. However Omega Underground watched all them and there were some interesting details revealed regarding the story. One of the main things revealed was who the main villain in the movie might end up being.

According to the report, the audition tapes were "not some mock scripts used by the casting director. Instead, they were written exclusively for the roles of Billy Batson and Shazam." So what was revealed in these script pages? Read on for the details on who the villain could be if you don't mind an early spoiler.

Before we go any further, these are audition scripts and anything in them may or may not be in the final film. But, the report makes a note of saying that "it’s hard to ignore the queue points made within each audition." As for how the villain in the story might be, it's explained:

The two videos which feature Billy Batson first meeting the wizard Shazam starts off with a few jokes. However, at one point, the wizard mentions how he is the last of the council. For they had all been destroyed by the Seven Deadly Sins. And that earth now needed a champion for save humans from being destroyed by The Sins as well.

So it seems as if the Seven Deadly Sins may end up being the main villain in the story, which is pretty cool. If you're not familiar with the demons, here's a description from Shazam Wikipedia:

The Seven Deadly Enemies of Man, also known as the Seven Deadly Sins, are seven powerful demons, based upon the seven deadly sins enumerated in Christianity, who serve as occasional foes of Captain Marvel. The Enewho can take control of both humans and superheroes. The Sins were captured by the wizard Shazam many years ago, and encased in seven mockingly cartoon-like stone statues, which were placed in the Rock of Eternity.

The report goes on to add the following info and speculation:

Another small nod was that the Wizard mentions how the earth hasn’t had a champion in quite some time. Alluding to something happening to the previous Shazam. Which could hint to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam been missing for centuries? Which could lead directly into the Black Adam solo film or setting up a Shazam sequel.

It seems to me like the Seven Deadly Sins would make a perfect villain for Shazam! to take on in the movie so I hope it's true.  What do you think about the possibility of seeing these DC villains in the DCEU?

Shazam! will be released in 2019

MONSTER HUNTER Is Speaking In The Latest MARVEL VS. CAPCOM INFINITE Trailer…And It’s Weird

monster-hunter-is-speaking-in-the-latest-marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-trailerand-its-weird-social.jpg

A new trailer highlighting Monster Hunter has been released for Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite, and it's just weird. Maybe I've been out of the franchise too long, but since when does the main character in Monster Hunter speak? Here's another question, when did these guys get so fast because I've never seen a great sword get swung that quickly when I'm trying to take down a beast!

Jokes aside, it is a bit jarring to see such a generic customizable character in a franchise and try to give them a personality. Am I alone on this? Check out the trailer below for the DLC character and let us know if it's creeping you out as well.

Sean Penn To Star in New Hulu Mission to Mars Series THE FIRST From the Creator of HOUSE OF CARDS

Sean Penn is set to star in a new series at Hulu called The First. This is a sci-fi space exploration series that comes from House of Cards creator, Beau Willimon. Penn has been a guest on several series over the years, but this will be the first series that he actually stars in. The actor seems very picky with the projects he takes on so this one must be good.

The First is set in the near future and explores the first human mission to Mars and interplanetary colonization. The eight-episode drama focuses not only on the astronauts, but also on their families and loved ones, as well as the ground team on Earth.

This certainly sounds like an interesting story. No details were revealed about the role Penn would play in the series. Willimon, who will write and executive produce the series, had this to say in a statement:

"I have such deep admiration for Sean's immense talent and extraordinary body of work. I feel very lucky to be collaborating with an artist of his caliber."

I like films and stories that deal with space exploration, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Especially with the talent involved with developing it.

Netflix Renews BOJACK HORSEMAN For Season 5!

Netflix has announced that BoJack Horseman has been renewed for Season 5! You can watch a little animated announcement video that they released below featuring a string of text messages being sent by a "clingy Netflix exec".

It's amazing to see how much this animated series has exploded in popularity since it first premiered. It's such a great show, though! I was initially not interested in watching it because talking animals just don't appeal to me. But, when I finally started watching it I realized the show is so much more! Not only is is funny but it also has a surprising amount of depth to the stories and characters. If you're not watching it, you need to start.

The fourth season of BoJack Horseman premiered on Netflix on September 8th. Will Arnett stars as BoJack, "the failed legendary ‘90s sitcom star from the favorite family sitcom Horsin’ Around, who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. Now, in the presence of his human sidekick Todd (Aaron Paul) and his feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), BoJack is primed for his comeback."

BoJack Horseman was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Are you excited to hear that we will be getting a fifth season!?

The Script For The Joker Origin Film is Already Almost Done!

the-script-for-the-joker-origin-film-is-already-almost-done-social.jpg

It was only about a month ago that we learned Warner Bros. was developing a Joker origin solo film with producer Martin Scorsese and director Todd Phillips. Well, the studio has obviously put the project on the fast track to production because the script for the movie is already almost complete! According to Variety's Justin Kroll, a first draft of the script will be turned into the studio next week! Here's the tweet he shared with the news:

That is super fast! Hopefully, the script is good! It was previously revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio was wanted for the role of The Joker, which is a casting choice a lot of fans seem to be getting behind. I'd actually love to see him get the part. It's probably a better choice than Jared Leto.

There's no official information on what the story for the film would entail, but it was previously rumored that it would a "super dark and real" film parts of which might focus on The Joker as a kid. It'sd also been described as a "gritty and grounded hard-boiled crime film set in early-’80s Gotham City."

The studio is hoping to start shooting the film in 2018.

The first trailer has been released for Wes Anderson's latest film project called Isle of Dogs and it looks like an amazing movie! Isle of Dogs is a stop-motion animated film that focuses on a young boys journey to an island of exiled dogs in Japan where he embarks on a journey to find his dog Spots with the help of a few new dog friends.

VanceFisher StevensMari NatsukiHarvey KeitelKoyu RankinLiev SchreiberBob BalabanScarlett Johansson, Tilda SwintonAkira ItoAkira TakayamaF. Murray AbrahamYojiro Noda and Yoko Ono.

When previously talking about the film Anderson says the film was inspired by Rankin-Bass Christmas TV specials and the work of Akira Kurosawa. He explained:

“I really liked these TV Christmas specials in America. I always liked the creatures in the Harryhausen-type films, but really these American Christmas specials were probably the thing that really made me want to do it.”

I'm such of huge fan of Anderson's work. I just love his sense of humor and his storytelling and filmmaking style. This is a move that I'm incredibly excited about seeing and it looks like it turned out great! Here's the synopsis:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

Marvel’s INHUMANS May Have Already Been Cancelled By ABC Before it Even Premieres

marvels-inhumans-may-have-already-been-cancelled-by-abc-before-it-even-premieres-social.jpg

Marvel's Inhumans has not been getting a lot of love from the fans. Ever since the first images were released, it seems like the series was doomed. Almost everything released after that has been met with negativity. The series has just been crashing and burning with most fans before the series was even released!

Now, according to a report from Renew Cancel TV, AMC may have already canceled the series before it even premieres on TV. The network is promoting Inhumans as "the COMPLETE series" rather than "the first season". This leads the report to believe that any plans for a second season have been scrapped.

No official announcement has been made yet by Marvel or ABC, but I think most of us assumed that the series would go beyond a first season, anyway. I think we would all be way more surprised if Inhumans did get a Season 2 order! That would be shocking!

Regardless of all the negativity surrounding the series, I'm still going to give it a shot. Marvel should've just stuck with making the movie. Then fans would have got something that they probably would have enjoyed.

Did any of you watch the first two episodes when it was in IMAX theaters? If so, what did you think? I didn't see it, but I haven't heard anything good.
